Why Raw Honey?

Why Raw Honey?

Pure, unheated, unpasteurized, unprocessed.

All Nutrients Intact

Vitamins, enzymes, phytonutrients, and antioxidants stay put when honey isn't heated or processed.

Nothing Added

We never use chemicals on our bees. No additives, no fillers, nothing in the jar but honey.

Naturally Crystallizes

Raw honey can turn liquid or solid over time. That's a good sign, not a defect.

Raw honey is honey in its truest form. Because it's never pasteurized or refined, it keeps all the vitamins, enzymes, phytonutrients, and other good stuff that processing strips out of typical store-bought honey.

You might notice your jar slowly crystallizing over time. That's completely normal, and it's actually a sign the honey hasn't been messed with. If you want it runny again, just sit the jar in some warm water. Don't boil it, though. Too much heat ruins the good stuff.

From Hive to Jar

Simple, careful, unchanged. Just as the bees made it.

1

Spin

We spin the frames to get the honey out. No heat, no pressing.

2

Settle

The honey sits in food-grade tanks, untouched.

3

Jar

We pour it straight into the jar. Nothing added. Nothing taken out.

Harvest season is a busy stretch around here. We handle several thousand pounds of honey each summer, and it takes days of work to get it all from the hives into jars.
